   Tiffany Grant
Tiffany Grant Voice Actor

Tiffany Grant is happy to be attending her first AnimeFEST! A native Houstonian, Tiffany has spent a great deal of time in Dallas and thinks of it as a second home.

Tiffany, the first voice actor hired by ADV Films back in February 1994, has well over 300 credits to date. Even so, Ms. Grant remains best known as Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion, Kome from Blue Seed, Chocolate from Sorcerer Hunters and Madame President from Golden Boy. More recently, she has worked on such projects as Excel Saga, Noir, RahXephon, All-Purpose Catgirl Nuku Nuku, Those Who Hunt Elves II, Neo Ranga, the OVAs for Sorcerer Hunters and Blue Seed, Aura Battler Dunbine, the live action Gamera 3 and Goemon.

Having written many sub-titled scripts for ADV many years ago (Miyuki-chan in Wonderland, Tokyo: The Last Megalopolis, et. al.), Tiffany is once again at the keyboard writing the dubbing scripts for Angelic Layer.

With over twenty-five years of on-stage experience, Ms. Grant's on-camera roles include Alicia Dimsdale in the cult-comedy favorite, Laughing Boy (she'll be happy to sell you a copy!) as well as a featured role in Arlington Road starring Jeff Bridges.    Scott McNeil

Hailing from Vancouver, Canada by way of Brisbane, Australia, Scott started acting at the age of three and hasn't (his mom would say) stopped since. Spanning more than a decade, and including over seventy series, Scott's voice career began with The New Adventures of He-Man way Back in (gasp!)1989. He is perhaps best known currently as Duo Maxwell in Gundam Wing, Piccolo (the first) in Dragonball Z, Dinobot, Rattrap, Waspinator, and Silverbolt in BeastWars, and Wolverine in the new WB series X-Men Evolution. Among his other voice credits are Reboot, Monster Rancher, Mummies Alive, Ranma 1/2, Kong, The Vision of Escaflowne, Megaman, WarPlanets, Weird-Oh's, Molly O, Conan the Adventurer, Extreme Dinosaurs, DragonTales, D'Myna Leagues, Aagh it's the Mister Hell Show, Double Dragon, Street Fighter, and GI Joe.


   Michael Dobson

Michael Richard Dobson has established himself as one of Vancouver's busiest and most versatile actors. Besides the numerous voice-over commercials, video games, animated shows, not to mention on-camera-acting work in features, TV movies and television series, Michael has just been nominated for a prestigious "Leo Award" in the category of Best Actor in a Comedy for the independent show entitled "Impromptu". Some other accomplishments are: Gundam Wing and First Gundam - Michael plays a host of bad guys and good guys all of whom come to a nasty demise in this popular anime series. Jin-Roh - Michael breathes life into the lead character of Fuse in Manga Entertainment's smash hit Jinroh. From the creators of the classic anime Ghost in the Shell, this feature-length-animated movie for video and DVD will release later this year. Dragon Ball Z - One of the most popular kids shows on FOX. Michael plays Nappa a seriously bad dude, who destroys planets just to pass the time. He also plays Spopovich, Supreme Kai and variety of other supporting characters. GI Joe - Michael has just been cast as Cobra Commander in the new animated movie for theatrical release later this year. Silverwing - Based on a children's storybook by author Kenneth Opel, Michael brings alive the evil villain Goth. Transformers - Michael is the voice of Starscream. X-Men: Evolution - This new animated series spawned from the feature movie and comic books and co-stars Michael as Freddie aka "The Blob" and a new character for 2003 called Caliban. Action Man (FOX Kids) - Saturday morning hit in which Michael plays Desmond "Grinder" Sinclair, an English-African man who sports dreadlocks. He is the tech genius & pilot, very laid back and very cool. Ninja Turtles - In this live action TV series Michael played the leader of the 4 brothers, Leonardo. Super Duper Sumos - Michael plays two villains, Billy Swift and Genghis in this cartoon. This show is about 3 Sumo Wrestler's who have the power to "Super Size" their bodies to solve crime.

Monica lives in Houston and works as a voice acrtess for ADV Films. She has played Miharu in Gasaraki, Natsume in Generation Gawl, Gin Fizz in Sorcerer on the Rocks, Izumi in Princess Nine, Saki in Steel Angel Kurumi, Mikako in Nadesico, Hyatt in Excel Saga, and Nozomi in Chance Pop Sessions.

Vic is a veteran actor with ADV Films, voicing characters in such anime series as Generator Gawl, Princess Nine, Streetfighter, Sin, Spriggan, Gasaraki, Noir, Steel Angel Karumi, Orphen, Excel Saga, A.D. Police, Aura Battler Dunbine, Rune Soldier, Neo Ranga, Yu Yu Hakasho, Those Who Hunt Elves, Nagica, St. Seiya and many others. Most recently his voice can be heard as Kurz in Full Metal Panic, Broly in Dragaonball Z movie 8, Kougaji in Saiyuki, Mamoru in Raxaephon, and Mythe in the newly released Playstation II game, Unlimited Saga.

"Kyle Hebert is a nationally syndicated radio veteran. He has written, produced, and provided character voices for Disney. Kyle is best known for his role as teenage/adult Gohan in "Dragonball Z" and "Dragonball GT". He was also the Narrator, Pikkon, and West Kai in "Dragonball Z", Okubo and Karasu in "Yu Yu Hakusho", Takei in "Fruits Basket", Ox King and General White in "Dragonball", and Sgt. Stephanie is currently the voice of Boy Goku and Boy Gohan in the outrageously popular television series, Dragonball and Dragonball Z. Working with the production company FUNimation since 1999, she's also contributed voices to other characters, including East Kai and Baby Trunks.

Chris Patton is way psyched to be returning to Animefest. Chris has been really busy since his appearance last year. Among the roles he's added to his resume since Animefest guests last saw him: Ayato Kamina in RahXephon, Sousuke Sagara in Full Metal Panic, Rei in the forthcoming Super Gals, Shun Andromeda in St. Seiya, Shiro Sugino in Chance Pop Session, Muilfuille in Sorecerer Hunters OVAs, Saburota Takasugi in Nadesico: Prince of Darkness, Hate Bishott in Aura Battler Dunbine, and others. Chris's other credits include Yu Ominae in Spriggan, Yushiro Gowa in Gasaraki, Seishiro Natsume in Princess Nine, Daley Wong in Bubblegum Crisis 2040, the now infamous Key in Excel Saga, and Komyou Sanzo in Saiyuki. Chris is also happy to announce that he is about to start recording the role of Oghiro in Angelic Layer.

   Greg Ayers
Voice Actor

Greg Ayres has been acting for ADV Films for just a little over a year, but in that time he has managed to land some really fun roles. His most recent role to date is one of the main characters in Saiyuki, Son Goku. Some of Greg's other roles include Shinji Kazama in Full Metal Panic, Yuya Asou in SuperGals, Tsubasa Sasai in Neoranga, and Mikhail in Steel Angel Kurumi. He will also appear in several upcoming anime titles such as Those Who Hunt Elves II, and Dragon Night Wheels of Time, and a few others that he can't mention just yet.


   Robert and Emily DeJesus

Robert DeJesus

Robert is an Indiana born, self-taught artist. February, 1990 he got his first art career break when he sent an eight page short story to Antarctic Press' anthology, Mangazine. From that he was asked to work on other assorted AP comics, such as Ninja High School, Mangazine, Not Ninja High School, Again and SB Ninja High School. After working for Antarctic Press for about four years, Robert went on to do freelance work. He teamed with other artists such as Adam Warren on Bubblegum Crisis and Dirty Pair, Phil Foglio's Xxxenophile card game and co-produced a portfolio 'zine with Steve Bennett. His art has also attracted invitation from overseas by a couple of grand Japanese artists, Kenichi Sonoda (Gunsmith Cats, Riding Bean), and KoKoMai (character designer for Japan's Playstation, Crime Crackers) to do work for their own personal dojinishi circles. But it doesn't end there, Rob has done much work for many comic companies, major magazines, an animated TV show, a major toy manufacturer and a very well known video game developer.

Robert's biggest claim to fame has to be designing a certain teenage, spiky red hair, high school uniform wearing, video game otaku named Banzai Chibi Chan. For two years Robert designed and drew the magazines' easily excitable, video game addicted mascot for Playstation Magazine, 100% Independent. His work includes a collaboration with Studio Udon and Marvel comics. Released during the weekend of it's opening movie debut, he worked on two childrens books based on Spiderman. His most recent project was a pin-ups for past issues of Anime Invasion.

Now, with the help of his wife/partner in crime, Emily, they have started thier own company, Studio Capsule. Capsule will be involve in creating a line of underground doujinshis, animations, portfolios and other sorts of Studio Capsule memorabilia.    Doug Smith
Voice Actor

Douglas Smith is a Voice Actor/Artist personality in the Anime industry. He's voiced in several of ADV's shows like, "BubbleGum 2040". "Those Who Hunt Elves", "Sorcerer Hunters", "Dragon Knight" to name a few. Doug is most recognized for his role as Kintaro Oe in "GoldenBoy". You can see his latest voice over role in "Steam Detectives" when it becomes available later this year. Be sure to swing by his table and check out his art.    Ramen and Rice
Anime Music Performers (Violin & Cello)

Sisters Kim and Michelle Kwon live in the California Bay Area, and have been studying music since childhood. Also lovers of anime and games, they made their debut as the anime/game music duet "Ramen and Rice" 3 years ago at Fanimecon 2000. Since then, they have attended Fanimecon every year to play and also made an appearance at AnimeExpo 2002 in Long Beach. Kim (Ramen), a sophmore in college, has been studying violin for 13 years. Michelle (Rice), a freshman in college, has been studying cello for 12 years. Together, they arrange their own versions of anime/game music by ear and present them to the anime/game public to enjoy.


   Krista Perry

Krista is a prolific Fan Fiction author and respected member of the FanFic Mailing List (FFML). She's also written 23 chapters of an ongoing Ranma 1/2 FanFic series called "Hearts of Ice" which has won several accolades. More recently she has written fan-fic of Detective Conan, Inu-Yasha, Gundam Wing, and many other series.


   Bruce Lewis
Artist

Among the first American artists to work professionally in the shoujo manga style, Bruce Lewis is a professional illustrator, designer, and writer with over a decade of experience in the comics field. A fan of anime and manga since 1969, Lewis is among the earliest proponents of Japanese pop cultural style in the U.S,, and is cited in Antonia Levy's SAMURAI IN OUTER SPACE and Frederik R. Schodt's DREAMLAND JAPAN: WRITINGS ON MODERN MANGA. His pro credits include writing and drawing several of the American versions of Robotech, Gall Force, and Star Blazers comics over the years, writing about anime and manga for Animerica, Anime/UK, Anime/FX, and MangaMax magazines, doing television storyboarding, sportswear design, and many other odd things.

Lewis is a co-founder and partner in Cheap Disposable Entertainment, Inc., a comics publishing company which released its first comics anthology (Juku: A Comics Album) last year. (The 244-page book, created by the comics circle Juku: A Comics Band, contains two of Lewis' comics, "It Happened in the Seventh Grade" and the novella-length "Dairooster 5!".) In addition to all this, he has a busy freelance career; his most recent work is as the touch-up artist, letterer, and designer for Viz' new English-language adaptation of Koshi Rokdo's hit EXCEL SAGA manga.

Bruce Lewis is currently producing several new comics stories for Juku's followup album, and with his wife Mundee is busy creating and promoting the Kuro Neko? line of sportswear for their new company, Fashion Neko. He is also writing his first "real" book, a guide to creating comics in the manga style due out in 2004. Bruce Lewis' hobbies are collecting old books, playing golf, muddling about with cooking, and traveling. His favorite color is blue, he drinks Scotch, and he loves kittens, rockets, and plaids. Dr. Susan J. Napier, a professor of Japanese Literature and Culture at the University of Texas at Austin, has focused her recent studies on the cultural aspects of anime and manga both in Japan and in the U.S.
